Very nice mini quilts. I am going to be watching the auction for all these delightful little jewels.

Mary Jo, Congrats on your new grand baby, being a grandparent is the best. We just had a new GD on May 11.

Have fun.

Here are 2 AAQI donation quilts that I completed tody and registered. Waiting for numbers, The Meding Heart is dedicated to Clara and her family and they were remembered in prayers with each stitch! Love you Clara and I know life will get better with time and effort.

Today is also the 1 week birthday of my newest granddaughter(4 total grandchildren) Mia Eloise. It is so wonderful being a grandmother to a new life. I will also post picture from a proud grandmother. :D :D :D

Update on me. After several failed attempts and getting more and more determined to be creative. I feel so much better when I can do that. My birthday present to me was to do something. Hubby gave me some alone time and I rolled up my sleeves and stared at the fabric for a while. Then finally got an idea and grabbed all my precut strips (there were a lot of them) and threw them on the bed in a mess. Knowing that hubby would be home soon and would take a nap, deadline was my friend. I literally played with colors and made groupings together. As of this afternoon I have groups of 7 strips sewn together in a huge pile enough to make a king and a half with just strips. Just needed to sew and make real progress. I did. After watching today's show I also decided it was time to start journalling again. Used to keep one at school and drew in it all the time. This will become a daily routine in the morning. I already started this and designed the quilt and several minis with these strips. I think I will have big blocks of a fabric mixed in with the slices of the strips. This way I can play with the quilting. It was a lot of fun with the other minis I did for AAQI. Should be interesting.

Being creative and just letting go is a part of me. This first step felt like jumping off the cliff again, but so worth getting back to it. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for all the kind words, support, prayers and well wishes. They helped!!!

Clara, I am so delighted that you are at it again - it becomes like life's blood doesn't it? Life feels better with a little bit of quilting each day. Hugs, Rita.

MaryJo, Your crazy quilt heart dedicated to Clara and family was perfect. No matter how many times our hearts get broken we can always put them back together again. And this quilt reminds us that often times those hearts are even more beautiful than before. Great job, Mary Jo!

Clara it made my day to see you back at the fabric again. Have a beautiful day and enjoy the talent you have been blessed with. I took a class a couple of weeks ago on painting on fabric and had forgotten how much I loved to paint and draw as a teen, a long long time ago. I hope to do more and maybe even an AAQI little quilt after more practice.

Thank all of you for your kind comments on my quilts. :D :D
