Remember all you Janiacs that the original Jane quilt is on display in the Bennington VT museum during September and October. I am planning a trip just a couple of weekends from now. Can't wait! Maybe I'll see some of you there! Much cooler today - Yea!

Well, now that I've committed to an accountability challenge with one of my best friends, I'm going to have to dig this out again. I truly love this quilt and want to make it.
Is anyone doing it by machine?

I'm still working up the courage to quilt mine. Are you going to quilt yours by machine, Eileen?

Eileen, I hope to start mine just after the first of the year. Currently working on Christmas presents, and another special present, then I want to catch up (at least a bit) on 2010 BOMs -- I'd like to at least have January complete before the end of the year :? Then I can think about starting my Dear Jane ...

Eileen, I am working on mine, I am doing it all by hand. Hand pieced and hand applique.
I started in the middle of 2008, and am just a bit over 1/2 way done.

I am working on a Dear Jane but I only have two blocks done. Although I had both of those blocks on my design wall and one seems to be missing. I just noticed it yesterday..wonder how long it has been MIA? :P

My DJ is resting. :) I have about 40 blocks done and 8 triangles. But I haven't worked on it in over a year. I know I'll get back to it... "not today" as my mother would say to us. ;)

I'm doing as much on machine as I can. Mostly paper piecing but the applique bits have all been by hand so far.

I'm toying with changing my plans for the DJ. I have, about 90 blocks done......34 triangles.............and because of my 'compulsive' nature, I am unable to let go of it to move into another project........and it's still far from done. Here's what I'm thinking. How about I arrange it in Irish Chain which would give me lots of space for 'quilting' play, but............with the 2011 BOM as the Centerpiece! That way I get to put all kinds of challenges into it!

I'm still pondering, but may elect to do this. I just don't necessarily feel a need to DO ALL OF IT. I'm delighted for the learning I've had, but ready to move on a bit.

Thoughts? (as if I hadn't already made up my mind)
