Jeanie Sumrall-Ajero - Printing On Fabric Lessons

Re: Jeanie Sumrall-Ajero - Printing On Fabric Lessons

The intro music is clear but her voice sounds as though she isn't wearing a microphone. I can hear her, but she sounds like someone on the other end of a phone conversation heard from across a room. That's the best way I can describe it.

For those of you having trouble with the audio, what browser are you using, what OS (Mac or Windows) and how fast is your internet connection? It may help us figure out the problem if we find there are consistent answers to these questions.

I hear her voice fine on both my Dell desktop and my Dell laptop. The desktop runs Windows XP and the notebook runs Vista.

FYI - I just found my EQ7 is supposed to be totally cool about photo editing. I'll look into and let y'all know.

I'm using Google Chrome on a wireless laptop with Windows 7 and the video works fine!

I'm using a Mac with OS 10 (Snow Leopard) and my browser is Safari, I've had no problems.
On another note, don't forget to check out the comments associated with the different videos. I've found good information there as well.

I'm having a problem and I'll try to explain it. My photo is of a car. It's about 5 x 3.75. It stretches the length of the photo. Cropping to a square chops off part of the car if I try to maintain the aspect ratio. What can I do?

I just tried listening with headphones and the sound is fine. The problem seems to be just when listening with the computer speakers. I'm on a Mac.

Mary Kay, maybe you could just print your car so that the width will fit into your block, then apply a fusible web on the back and carefully trim the car away from the rest of the photo. The car could then be appliquéd onto a solid piece of fabric that is large enough for your block and you won't have the distracting background clutter of showroom walls and people.

Margo, my son suggested doing something like that as well. It's probably easier to just look for another photo. But I did learn you have pretty good photo editing capabilities with EQ7. It actually has a selection called "printing on fabric."

Mary Kay, Another thing you could do is to print the car photo so that the width fits the block size, then sew strips of other fabric to the top and bottom to fill out the square. You could also print those "strips", but you probably want to print more than just a solid color and then the instructions for that get a little involved, so I think you're better off just sewing other fabric strips to the top & bottom.

For those with audio problems, I have exported Jeanie's Intro video to YouTube. Here is the link. Can you hear the audio on the YouTube version?
