'Wot RoTT' exchange

A different friend who became known as 'The Hooch Master General, for brewing above and beyond the call of sanity' once made a gallon of chilli mead with 4 oz of red chilli pepper in it  It was said that you always knew where the bottle was, as it made it's way around the campfire - it was just to the right of someone gasping for breath

Rosemary, you are way too funny! I think I will stick to my chili chocolate and not try making chilli mead although I always have a liter of alcohol waiting to be combined with a fruit in season and sugar, whatever suits my fancy at the moment. My next glass will be raised in praise of your mirth! :P

I can almost see the slogan: 'Chilli Mead, It'll warm the cockles of your Heart'! Too funny Rosemary. I love the title of the 'Hooch Master General'.

I think I might put my reels together in a way that would be like they all fell on the floor and this is how they looked...very random. If I can figure out how to piece them that way. I am pretty random in general. lol Such as randomly throwing in this topic in the middle of brew recipes. ;-) I only get on here occasionally because it is summer here on the farm and it is busy, busy! Good busy.

Sounds like a fun plan to me, but with all those odd angles for piecing, starch will definitely be your friend.
Random is good on this thread, it is Tangled Threads afer all

i've just about decided to make mine into a "beach-hut" quilt.
i've been in love with those fun and colorful beach-huts standing in a row since i first saw a set years and years and years ago
think the reels would make great and fun beach-huts
and adds a whole new dimension to the possibilities of embellishments...

Lotti,
Haven't ever seen a beach hut, so googled it & Wow! what fun images come up. I pasted one here.
What a fun idea for our stripey blocks!

That's a great beach hut design, Roseanne, and possibly more in keeping with what Lotti might have had in mind... I don't know... but the thought "beach hut" conjured up for me was one with a thatched roof!

Yes, there were a lot of images with the thatched roof. That could be a fun 3D applique thingy.

Whereas this is more the sort of thing I was thinking of
Swanage beach huts.jpg

Ok so they are all closed up, but these are at Swanage, Dorset, where my Gran used to live, and we would go down every year for a holiday. Her house was half way up a very steel hill, and it was hard work schlepping up after a day at the beach.

but much more colorful - more like these:

of course the first beach huts i've ever seen were from jacque tati's movie: Mr. Hulot's Holiday:

as you can see - we can do with them whatever we want :P

unless our's happens to be placed in brighton:
