My Medallion quilt is ready for the long arm quilter. I did use a little bit of a plan for the quilt. I was in both exchanges, so decided to put my 2 Alex and Ricky hst's in the center. I surrounded them with Edyta, Margo,Debbie, Clara and Ritzy. My batik group was smaller and came first so they went next. I held my breath and just started adding which ever one I picked up. This was scarry for me, but it didn't look bad! Now with more confidence I just kept adding with no plan. It works!! I received more purples and browns, so I did save the browns for the last row. I added two extra rows and probably would have done more, but I ran out of design wall. I know I do not have an hst from everyone, but I am sure the love from each of us is tucked inside. Have you heard of healing quilts? Well this is mine. When I have a bad day or bigger problems come along, I'll wrap up in my quilt and feel the strenght from each of you. Thanks dear sisters and brothers of the traveling triangles!!!!This has been such a wonderful journey!!!My LOVE to each and everyone of you!!!!Now wish me luck with adding pictures.

This is so very nice as are the special thoughts that go with the quilt. The world is full of loving caring people and some of them sent you patches to wrap up your cares. Lois Bruno

I used a pattern from Edyta's book and 224 triangle squares that I received from the exchange. I added about 140 of my own triangle squares in colors similar to the ones I chose for the borders and background fabrics. It thought that might tie the colors together. The quilt really did not take long to put together, but I haven't quilted it yet. That's next. It is about 84" square. When the power was out here for a week after the tornadoes last month, I thought about the quilt and tallied my squares. I received triangles squares from 36 states and 19 locations out of the US. So exciting!

Paula I love your top. It's very inspirational to me because I'm making the same quilt with 920 HSTs. And Jean, ever since I discovered your blog I've
remembered how much I love scrappy quilts and debated about doing Edyta's pattern or one you made and showed in your blog. Great job girls

Jean, I love your quilt. Thanks for posting it. Each time I see the quilt someone is making with the hst's I wish I could make that pattern as well. We need an endless basket of hst's.

Both of the recently posted quilts are great! Mine has been on hold for a few days. I'll post a blog later to explain why.

Wow!! The competed projects are awesome. I am sooo looking forward to starting to sew mine. I've planned out all the blocks. Just need to purchase the background fabric. Your inspiration for me to find this money in the Money diet is awesome! Keep the pictures coming!

Oh Paula! That is exactly what I want to do with my SOTTT quilt! Just for me! I still am waffling about how to put my triangles together - in the mean time, I am working on the Spools quilt from the Sensational Stripper Exchange - I'm almost finished piecing the top, and ready to (re)consider my HSTs!!
