'Wot RoTT' exchange

OK, I just looked at my post and the name for my red reels was "Strawberry Shortcake", but I have a good recipe for Strawberry Jam. Is it too late to rename?

I don't think I named the orange set, but would like to go with "Orange Crush". :D

Margo, the best combination of dark chocolate & cherries I know of is Black Forest Gateaux (see Lorchan for details), but even so cherries in kirsch and then dipped in dark chocolate are a favourite of mine too. 8)

Luv the sound of Black Forest Gateaux....as long as I don't have to come up with a recipe!!

I don't think I ever gave a foodie title to my blue and peach reels. So here goes... For the blue ones: Torta di Ricotta ai Mirtilli (Ricotta Cake with Blueberries); for the peach ones, Peach Bellini. Let me know if you need recipes to go along with them. Gotta go... just got hungry...   Renata

Rosemary, my understanding is that a "buckle" is the original name for a "cobbler". They're pretty much the same - delicious!! I'm posting the recipe.

Trying to catch up with the forum posts. Are we to give our strips a name? I think one of mine would be 'tossed salad" and the other one "Yummy Honey" or maybe lemon, but I think someone has that already I'll stick with Yummy Honey!

Hi There Ladies, I have been away for quite a while ( husband struck with a case of cancer) and I see that we are still talking food ( a great thing), but may I have a brief synopsis of where we are on receiving reels and.....Foodie titles? Thanks a bunch!

Glad you are back Cookin! Hope your hubby is doing well!

As for receiving our reels, we are waiting on a replacement batch from Australia. Seems the first batch she sent, was lost by Aussie Postal Service, who knows where those reels are now!! So a new batch has just been sent to Rosemary. After they are received, sorted and added to the waiting packages, our reels will be mailed back to us... so hopefully, not too long now.

The Foodie Titles are just for fun... based on the color you sent, perhaps you can post a name/recipe that coordinates with your reels. Rosemary will compile the titles (and recipes??) into a book of sorts for us. For instance, if you sent yellow, Lemon Merangue Pie would be good. You get the idea...

Cookin, I am praying your husband has a full recovery.

Also Rosemary, my reels were purple and I had named them Grape Jam, but I do not have a recipe.

Rosemary,
My reels were pink and I'm calling them Strawberry Almond Crumble. I use Nigella Lawson's recipe (http://www.cookingchanneltv.com/recipes ... index.html) for those that are interested.
Looking forward to the reels arrival...
Good day all,
