Chat Schedule

Chat Schedule

Postby tobylehnj » Sun Feb 25, 2007 8:18 am

Is the Town meeting that is scheduled for Tuesday, EVERY Tuesday? or was that only for the one week? It does not have a date next to it, but when I was there last Tuesday, the others chatting said it was only the week before....

town meeting

Postby RoniG8 » Tue Feb 27, 2007 7:55 pm

What is up with this town meeting. I rushed home from a meeting to be able to chat with Alex, but it didn't happen. The listing is still there, we all thought that Alex was coming to chat.
Could you change it if it isn't going to happen

Our Bad - We are very sorry for forgetting to Unpost the Town Hall Meeting. It was for that one week. As you can imagine - Alex and I are in overdrive preparing for the taping next week. It was just an oversight and we greatly appreciate you understand that the site is now a monster and little oversights like that are bound to occur. I've asked Web Guru Bob if there is an automated way that those could delete themselves so we don't have to remember. - Anyway - sorry for any inconvenience.

Town Meeting

Postby Quilting-gram » Wed Feb 28, 2007 6:18 am

I was upset I missed last night's chat with Alex but now I am relieved that I really didn't miss Alex. I did however miss all my chatting friends that I bet were hanging around. :( Where do the hours in a day go ? Thanks for letting us know you will be updating Town Hall schedule.

Times and time differences

Postby Brenda » Sat Mar 31, 2007 7:46 am

Please can you tell me what do 'EST' and 'PST' along side the chat times on the lists. As I live in the UK (now on British summer time) I have to work out the time where you are so that I can catch you on a chat room. How many hours difference are there between the time in New York and that on the West coast?

Brenda, EST is Eastern Standard Time and PST is Pacific Standard Time--But now we're on Daylight Savings Time so that always throws me off! I think it's 5 hours difference between British Isles and East Coast US, then there are 3 hours difference East Coast US to West Coast. :? Best bet would be to catch someone else in a Chat room and ask them their current time & location! Good luck! Florence

I think actually that there are six hours between Eastern (DS) Time and GMT at this moment, since the US went to Daylight Savings three weeks earlier than usual. :?

Happy, there is a transcript of the chat (it was on Jan. 7) she responded to questions, etc. She was "figtree" or something like that.

chat time

Postby jackieb » Sat Jan 10, 2009 9:03 pm

This was posted on the daily blog on January 7th:

"Join us tonight for an hour of fun and great tips with Joanna Figueroa , our special "Featured Guest" in the chat room at 5:00 pm Pacific/8:00pm Eastern (01:00 GMT January 8, 2009). "

The newsletter Janury 6th also said the chat was January 7th. Sorry it was confusing with the GMT time in there...

I'm delighted that the announcements now include the GMT time, because that's us in Europe (plus or minus one hour). I must admit though that it takes a little planning to stay up till 1am for a scheduled chat, but it's worth it.

TQS rocks!
