What is your favorite needle for hand piecing? I keep trying different ones and am still not sure I have the best one.

thanks, Fran

Fran,
I use size 10 or 11 sharps. They're really small and a lot of people are surprized that I use them. I don't do a lot of hand piecing but I do foundation piecing by hand using them.

I use a Between #9 quilting needle to hand piece. I used to use a #12 Between, but arthritis makes the smaller needles difficult.

I like Richard Hemming hand sewing needles. They are sharp and easy to thread. Rebecca

I love ThimbleLady's needles - they are exceptionally narrow and I just like the way they handle. She has small - med - large! I like the longer ones for hand piecing - the shorter ones for applique.

Wow, I thought her needles were only for quilting. This is great to know; thank you!

(For someone who spends the time I have on her website, I really should just buy something LOL!)
