Postby lucyvanpelt » Mon Dec 29, 2008 9:23 pm

does the gift cert for a friend expire on the 31st also or do we have time because i want to give it to my mom but she isn't extremely computer savy and it would be easier to wait until she comes back from florida in the summer but if it expires before then i will have to do it over the phone.

Lucy: These Membership Gift Certificates expire January 31, 2009. So you still have about 30 days to get your mom all started! I hope both of you enjoy connecting in 2009 on the TQS website! What a great idea! TQSRuth

Thought I was purchasing series 4 and 5

Postby woodstock1221 » Sun Feb 22, 2009 11:45 am

Guess my mind doesn't function as well as it used to, as I just thought I was purchasing series 5 and 5 but appears I purchased a membership for a year instead. Site wouldn't let me just purchase a series. It seems I can't view the first 3 episodes from series 4 as they are posted earlier than my renewal date. Sorry but I'm a bit miffed here as I have been a member since the beginning and this is very confusing to me. Am I now to be shorted 3 shows of the 2 series I posted or are these 3 shows going to be tacked on the end of my membership? Sorry but I'm really confused here. Carol Kendra :? :?

You will get the real skinny on your membership if you will drop a note to the CONTACT link on the purple bar. They don't always moniter the forum. We don't want you miffed!! :(

I have the same problem. I bought the 6 Month Membership. It lets me start only with the Episode 405 –which I like, but I wanted the previous shows too...('')
P.S. I did contact them, but did not get an answer.

If you tried to contact them in the last day or two, you might not hear until next week. They are in the middle of 4 days of taping new shows in LaVeta right now. I'm pretty sure that they will get back to you soon. If not....send another message!!

Membership renew resolved

Postby woodstock1221 » Sat Mar 14, 2009 10:00 am

I did contact the show and they were kind enough to take my membership back to the first show of the 2009 season. I was very happy about that as I really wanted to see the show that Ricky did. Try to contact them again and don't give up. I will make sure to renew my membership before season 5 expires! Carol

I recently had the same problem. I had purchased membership and it is good until June 2009. Thought that I should be able to get all series until then, However, I couldn't open any of series 4. So I bought another year, ends March 2010. I still can't open the first 4 of series 4. I have e-mailed customer service twice and have yet to hear. I am SOoooo confused. I feel really ripped off! My next course of action I guess will be to call.

Membership Renewals

Postby JOHNANDERSON » Sat Apr 04, 2009 11:07 pm

The membership questions are good questions. Up until Jan 1, 2009 we sold Series and not memberships. Each Series you bought you got a Star with the number on it to show that you had access to all of that Series. On Jan 1, 2009 we became like a magazine. When you become a new member or renew you start with the current show and then get all the brand new shows that premiere during your membership period. This works great for our past members who signed up before Jan 31 and for our new customers just coming on, but it is confusing for our past members renewing now.

Here's what happens when you renew in March. Let's say the current show is #405 and you get a 6 month membership. Then you start with #405 and go through #504. That way every new show that appears during your membership is yours to see. Under the old method if you bought a six month membership in March 2009 you would get the whole Series 4, but Series 4 would end June 30 and your membership would end in Sept 09. So you could still get into all the premium areas of the site, but you couldn't see the Series 5 shows. The change to the magazine approach was to solve the question of "If I'm a member until Sept how come I can't see show #502"?

During this transition year it is confusing and I apologize. Next year and at renewal it will be very easy.

We also hoped to have a method of purchasing back shows so you could fill in any gaps. We are almost done with this system and it will appear in April 09. One fun thing in the new system is that people who are new and did not buy the past Series, can buy the whole Series or just specific programs they want. As an added bonus, we are not going to retire programs. So Series 1 will come out of retirement for those that bought it and the other Series will not go away as long as ARJJ owns the site. That way we can refer to programs and people can go back and see what we are referring to. Also, we will soon have your renewal date on your Daily Blog page.

Please write me at query@thequiltshow.com to handle any individual questions. --John

Cap'n John,
Thank you to you and all ARJJ for your great customer service. I've been wanting to go back and view a few of the Series 1 shows. When do you think they'll be available?
