Houston 2011 Roommate(s) ???

Hi, everyone. I'm new to quilting and am going to the Houston Quilt Festival this year.
Does anyone out there need a roommate?

And in case I'm on my own, can you recommend hotel?

Thanks, Margo. I know about the info on the official site. I was hoping for some personal recommendations--which is closer, has better rooms, best breakfasts, shuttles, etc.

I only know first hand about the Hyatt. It's on the shuttle run, but there is no free breakfast.

Elizabeth - a bunch of us stay at Club Quarters, which is about five blocks and an easy walk from the convention center. However, the chances are slim that there are any rooms left, but, it's worth a try. There might be a cancellation. You can search them online or here's a number: 713-224-6400. Good luck.

I've patched together roomies - first 3 others from my guild (for T through F nights), another for Sat nt, and need another place to stay for Sun nt. Haven't really looked yet for places. Elizabeth, how long would you like to be in Houston?

Hi, Vicoria. I'm leaving the Monday the 7th 9or is it the 8th). Couldn't fly out on Sunday because AA cancelled their late afternoon flight. I have a roommate at the moment through the 3rd; however, she didn't like the bed last night (said it was too hard for her), so who knows? Are you looking for a roommate? Would the 4th thru ??? work for you?
