I have ordered from Hancocks of Paducah with mixed results--the first two or three times everything came in a timely manner. The last time it was sort of on the slow side. But any time I ordered, I always got at least a couple inches extra on each cut of fabric. And they have great prices on Olfa rotary blades! I will probably order from them again as long as it is something I don't need right away.

My friend has ordered from Big Horn Quilts with good results and I like reading some of their descriptions--if you check out the website, read the description of the SEAMS SO FAST in their miscellaneous notions page! It always makes me smile, but also shows their honesty. There is something else they have, they say they don't know what it is for other than for rug making but they were ask to carry it so they got it.

I buy 90% of my fabric from The Fat Quarter Shop, they have an excellent selection, service is terrific and shipping is very expedient.

I love VirginiaQuilter too! Especially if I'm in a real hurry, b/c they're right here where I live in Fredericksburg, and they'll drop my order off at my office on their way to the Post Office!! Of course, they also often offer free shipping so that should help the rest of you, they don't charge me for the door-to-door service! :D
Of interest, they're located in a former celophane plant complex--turned industrial park. The largest & best-known tenant there is the distillery for Virginia Gentleman whiskey!

I love http://www.wishuponaquilt.com
They have a good variety, and extremely fast on shipping, and are extremely helpful if you're having trouble finding a match for a fabric.

I've used both eQuilter and Wish Upon a Quilt and both have been timely and very good products. I've actually visited Wish Upon a Quilt in Raleigh NC and found the staff to be great!

Thanks for all the great sites...it's so much fun to window shop!

This looks like fun...Patchwork Party 2007.
I could get in lots of trouble with all 12 of these sites...so much to see!

I wonder if anyone has ever participated in other Patchwork Parties?

eQuilter.com!!

Postby BethMI » Wed Feb 14, 2007 7:14 pm

eQuilter.com -- I love this site! And you can sign up for their newsletter, which is emailed every Sunday morning. Luana Rubin (who owns the company with her husband, Paul) writes all about the new fabrics they got in that week and then...you get to SEE all of them! I love to get up on Sunday mornings and drool over all the new stuff, which typically does not show up in the local quilt shops for some weeks or months after that.

Plus, I think that the interface with this company is the ABSOLUTE BEST!! You can really SEE a lot of fabrics with good quality graphics, etc. No fuzzy, overlit, underlit or too close photos there.

Want to see other fabrics in the collection? Click on "related products." Want to see all fabrics with a "chess" theme? Use the search function. It is really neato. You can find what you want when you want and get it pretty quick, too. Never a problems with billing.

Try it, you'll like it!!

BethMI

P.S. This is an unpaid, unsolicited endorsement from someone who is just a very happy and frequent customer!
