It does a heart good to see all this love and beautiful creations coming from swapping such small pieces of fabric from all over the globe. Heart and imagination... a powerful combination.

I am in awe at the beautiful quilts that have recently been posted, made of the HSTs that we all exchanged! Candace, Teresa, and Rosemary, your quilts are wonderful! Candace, I did vote, and not a day too soon! Teresa, I love the quilting you did in the wonderful green border! And Rosemary, what a really cool back you have made to commemorate this unique exchange. Do I recognize a poem or two on the back? I couldn't zoom in enough to be sure!

Candace - another great quilt :D

I am so looking forward to being able to buy the book 8)

Dawn - yes there is a bit of poetry on the back of my quilt, along with a certain doggeral song and letter of introduction. They seemed to be as much part of the exchanges as the hst's, for me

Almost completed HST project

Postby Lorna1021 » Sun Apr 22, 2012 3:26 am

I'm getting there. Working feverishly this last week on quilting. I decided to do Baptist Fan quilting over the HSTs. I am more than half way done with that. I haven't yet decided what to do with the border and whether to treat all as one or do something different on the inner red and cream border and something else on the outer brown and red squares.

That's beautiful, Lorna!

Glad you are able to indulge in a bit of star-gazing as well

How about making up a border pattern using the Baptist fan as the base for the pattern?
