question for sarah re Embroidery Designs

Hi Sarah, i cant find where to ask you a question section, but is there any chance you could make the digitised designs availble in different colours around the petal/leaf shapes. i bought your large size from your site but u have done all the satin outlining in the same colour sections & i want to do mine individually. I have tried changing it in generations but it just wont seperate. it is a pain having to sit & watch the thing sew for about 2 hours just to be able to stop it & change thread colours. im not looking forward to doing this for 9 blocks.
thanks for doing the designs & making them available to us but if its possible i would love it if u could make it available so we have the choice to colour change & sort, i can usually make these changes but for some reason i cant do that to your design

bye for now

Hi Syd,

It is just about impossible for me to create designs that make everyone happy as far as color changes go. When I design so that each shape has it's own color, people complain because there are so many color changes. Then there's the other end of the spectrum. I have created what I think is a happy medium for the project based on the colors used in the original quilt.

Kind regards,
Sarah :-)

Have just sewn out the first month 6 block, it is just beautiful, stitch definition is great. I did edit mine in embird and put some colour changes in with no problems. They also fitted the heather feather shapes perfectly. Sarah, did I read somewhere that if we buy all 3 months designs that we will get a bonus design. thanks Maree

Hi Maree,

Glad you like the embroidery for month 6! Yes - if you purchase all 4 months (6, 7, 8 and 10/11) I have a couple of different (much smaller!) quilt designs you can use these designs with.

Kind regards,
Sarah :-)

I was able to edit color changes with my Janome Digitizer MB.

I am using my own colors for the embroidery and use the "slow redraw" feature on my Bernina Software. I can start/stop so that I know exactly where to change my color. Sarah has provided a beautiful design for the project and I think it would be near to impossible for her to accomodate everybody's specific requests. As the old saying goes "you can please some of the people ......"

Hi Sarah:

Where can we purchase the designs and do we use a special code when ordering?
I am behind; but will be catching up soon. I am making both color ways and trying to use up my stash.
(Still I got more fabric)!

Just love this BOM!

Thank you so much; the designs and the Show and Tell are so inspiring.

The basic "satin stitch embroidery" is included in Junes templates. If you want to order the "full blown embroidery" design, you can purchase it from Sarah's website for $15.99 (it is a download). She will have designs for July, August and October and November. I'm anxiously waiting for July, finished June and will post photo shortly. Loving this BOM.

Hi, Sarah.

I downloaded the embroidery design from your website. I'm doing the button and blooms fabrics. Is there a thread guide for those fabrics? If so, how do I get it.

Thanks.

Hi Kathy,

There isn't an "official" thread chart for the buttons and blooms fabrics. However, somewhere in the forums is a list of the thread colors that Lisa (who made the B&B quilt) used - and in the show and tell there is a photo of someone who has stitched out Month 6 using these colors, so you can see what she did with them.

Hope this helps.
