I'm going to work now. But I will take a break and draw a real picture. At 'work' I am a long arm quilter so I doodle all the time but I will actually try to draw a real picture. Thanks for the inspiration Ricky Dar

OK, I'm game to try this. You guys must be on to something us non-drawers do not know.

I have learned that if I have enough pencils and erasers and time I can draw just about anything!

That M.C. Escher print is one of my son's favorites! It's been on his wall since he started college!

I draw all of the time using the lines on graph paper or computer programs such as Chief Architect, EQ5, and Illustrator but you would probably call what I do drafting. I am pretty good at tracing and occasionally have to draw or modify a quilting pattern to fit the space. Since I don't have time this week to actually try to draw something for this post I posted a picture my granddaughter drew instead.

Through the years I always said, "I can't draw anything more than a simple heart or flower"......and even though I still do not equal a famous artist, I can put my thoughts and what I see in my mind onto paper if I try...rough as it may be, it makes sense. Ricky told me these things at retreat last year and I came home and drew on 100's of sheets of paper......and now I draw something every single day. Drawing what the mind sees somehow opens up a whole new world of creativity instead of just thinking about it and imagining it. Thank you for this challenge...should be lots of fun! Hi Ricky. Thank you for this post. I just checked this morning and it appears we have 43,342 members of TQS as of 7:21 a.m. PST. So, if my math is correct, we should easily be able to get 500 pictures uploaded. I figure that if every 86th person of the 43,342 submits a drawing, we should have approximately 503 pictures uploaded. I hope everyone will take part in the fun and it really does get easier the more you do it.
