Hi Annette, Helen, and Gail, (Ricky and Justin) We're here where I work (Jan in the Pinery) looking at the blog to see if there's anything new. Kathy leaves in a few hours and we were just reminiscing about the two days we had there. Watching the techniques, the artistry, the gallery - all were simply amazing. Thank you for the time you spent with us (Jan, Joe and Kathy). We thoroughly enjoyed it and wish we could have stayed longer. Have fun creating and we hope to see you again. Sincerely, Jan, Joe and of course Kathy!

Hi - I talked with Helen and she said that she uses, "el cheapo dollar brand bleach" from Australia. She doesn't know if is weaker or stonger than what might be in the US. She then neutralizes it with white vinegar. Lesser quality fabrics often yield better results. Experiment and see what you get!

mskasooli - We all have quilted on domestic sewing machines, (Vikings actually), but I've begun using a Handi-Quilter (HQ16) over the past year. ladyquilter - Yes, we use Genesis Creations (called colour) which is an Australian product. We add Aloe Vera gel for a better consistency. Check out www.genesiscreations.com.au hilliardquilter - The design we are working on started as as 8.5 x 11 design and was enlarded at a copy center. The large pieces, then taped together. When enlarging, you may need to fine tune certain shapes.

Wow! More jaw-droppers in progress *_* The Three Sisters quilt just blew me away. I stared (gawked), wide eyed and full of wonder. Isn't that what you ladies hope to accomplish? The sense of wonder is magical in many ways. Wonder about the message; wonder about the techniques. I can see that this newest piece will be as delightful. Oh, how I would love to see it in person. I'm particularly intrigued by the effect of dimension and how that is achieved. Any comments and/or video footage of that technique would be awesome! Thanks again, Ricky for including us in your creative world, and sharing your friends! Jan, back in Spokane I particularly resonated with Mahalo...returned from paradise at 1 a.m. this morning.

Question for either of the Three Sisters or Ricky, When you are drawing or planning your design’s, how do you get the scale you what? Do you sketch the design out on regular size paper (8.5 X 11) then increase your design? I do a lot of designs of my quilts, but have trouble getting them to match my mind’s eye. I use EQ5 plus graph paper. I would be very grateful for any help; all of your quilts are breathtaking! I hope one day I can become close to your level. Thanks, Susan des Islets, Hilliard Florida

Are all of the faces handpainted? If yes, what kinds of paints do you use? All of the pieces were breathtaking and very realistic looking. P.S. I loved the fairy -- the lighting around the children and the fairy was amazing.

I loved the cowboy hats, and the pirate. I also noticed a hand dye t-shirt. (Quilting Sisters, thats pretty awesome!) Beautiful quilts, and the storys with each quilt was very nice. The hand dye-ing fabric for shading is great, 2009! All three quilts are very pretty, great workmenship. Simply amazing Sisters, keep up the great work!

I come from a family of three sisters and I love the 3 Sister's work. I will be tuned in for every one of the blogs on the 3 Sister's. Now, Ricky, are you going to be able to get any work done while they are there? I wouldn't. I would be watching what they were doing. peg in mo

Ricky, great video. I'd love to be a fly on the wall, watching these talented women work. Why don't you just turn on the video camera and leave it. We'll have an extended play video of the three sisters in action. They certainly enjoy being together. I know you'll have lots of laughter in the next 10 days. Enjoy!! Sharon in TN (quiltnlady)

I absolutely LOVE your quilts! Do ya'll do your quilting (& beading) on long arm machines or regular machines? The workmanship is amazing. Up close at Quilt Festival in Houston the view was fantastic. I'm looking forward to your next pieces. Thanks for setting the bar up sooo high! ;) Martha in cloudy Destin, FL
