Dear Clara8...My coyote IS howlingly beautiful...isn't he? I drew the intiial image....then Helen 'drew' all his patterning with thread on the machine....she's got a real gift of design.....then Gail painted inside all the decorative stitching....and that's what really brings life to my lil howler! Thanks for your lovely comments.....Annette

It is absolutely incredible how you are leveraging each of your talents into this quilt!!! It is that collaborative and team approach that makes good things become truly great! A great example for all of us!

Me again. I love the wolf and all the wonderful detail with the swirls and stitching. Were the swirls done with the bleach painting or the other paint/ink/gel combination. A very nice touch. I have a dragon in my head that has to be painted very soon and I think he might be fancy! Thanks girls!!!! You set this artist a blaze. Clara

Helen, I thought he maybe a little rubbery. Just Love the show. Did you use steam in the iron when you did the bleach painting? I am a fabric painter and I want to play with the bleach painting. My hubby is laughing at all the happenings there in La Veta. I am waiting for skippy to get into one of Ricky's hats. That would be cute. Ricky, Did you think the show would grow the way it did in the first year? This is so awsome. I love being able to go to my computer and see you and Alex doing the things that you love to do. Also to see all the happening at La Veta and the adventures. I am so happy that I saw you and Alex last year in Escondido, CA. The "specil" seminar really jump started my adventures in restarting my quilting and creative ideas. Thanks Ruby in Sunny Fallbrook, CA

Giday NancyinSTL - Helen here. Thank you for your comment that we 3 Sisters are "..creating a testament to artistry, friendship and sisterhood." That is exactly our message and you have summarised it beautifully. Our hope is that our message is heard about the power of women to work together and create great things, to bring women back together for support and growth…the creative energy we share when combined is far more than 3 fold. The bond and support we share is enormous and creates powerful energy with no barriers of distance, circumstances, life styles, culture….we are as one. Sounds weird I know but we are 3 into 1, peas in a pod with our art, creativity, energy and passions, like we have known each other always…we just had to wait for the universe to help us actually meet.

Giday 1Ruby - Helen here. I read your suggestion of cooking Skippy on the BBQ if he gets into more mischief. I don' think our Skippy would taste too good...perhaps a bit rubbery! but at home we eat kangaroo meat and it is delicious...sorry all you vegatarians but this girl needs her meat and the kangaroos are farmed like any other meat product. It is very gamey and quite strong in flavour, very dark red/crimson in colour and extremly lean meat...so very good for you. Also because of the low fat content, it is usually cooked with a marinade or just to ensure the meat does not dry out. Come on Down Under and we will cook skippy steak and shrimp on the BBQ!

The work of the Three Sisters is amazing, but what's even more amazing is how well they work together. What a testament to artistry, friendship and sisterhood! I can hardly wait to see the completed quilt.

Ricky - Happy B-Day -- what is the anniversary of your 39th! LOL You will need a vacation after those three girls, and Skippy of course, leave. Wonder how he behaves on the airplane? LOL I'm exhausted just watching. Their creative process of overwhelming. Sharon up in NE Colorado - 70 degrees today.

I've been gone since the begining of last week and have just caught up on all the week's blog about the 3 sisters. Wow, what wonderful insider techniques. I'm thrilled that they are letting Ricky share with us how they make a quilt. Very interesting and very beautiful.

The 3 Sisters series is fun and informative I am thoroughly enjoying it ... great to be able to watch the creation of another fabulous piece. If anything goes missing in the studio the first place to look should be Skippy's pouch, he is such a rascal..

I wish I could be there to see everything. This is very exciting to see the Three Sisters create a beautiful quilt. Thanks TQS for sharing. Skippy does have good taste in fabric. But he had better stay away from my Ricky Tims fabric. Or we will have BBQ Skippy. I will have to get in on the fabric sale. Whoo Hoo!!!! Ruby in sunny Fallbrook CA
