Super video of your daughter's classroom. My granddaughter teaches 4th grade in Massachusetts and was honored just last week with a great teaching award. We are so proud of her...and I know you and John are so proud of Adair. Thanks so much for sharing it with all of us. Nancy in NC

There was a sign for both UPS and Fed ex. I do want to emphasise that this is not a rich school - but it has an awesome staff - Adair went after her teaching job there - and fortunately has not been cut for next year.

Tell you daughter that we loved the music. You do not see schools do this kind of thing much anymore and I appreciate the effort that this music teacher puts in. California is not known anymore for the extra curricular acctivities that they spend money on. Did FedEx sponsor this concert?

Hurrah to all our teachering professionals. And, that percussion band was awesome. My husband came into the computer room to "see" what I was listening to and we both thought they were great. Thanks to Adair for letting Mom do her video thing. Ann in So. Cal.

I admire teachers so much! And middle school! A room full of raging hormones! Adair is adorable, and obviously a wonderful and dedicated teacher. Her parents must have done something right! The marching band was terrific -- thanks for adding that to the video! Ruthann

Oh does that bring back memories. I marched with an indoor drum ensamble just like that when I was in college - and yes that really was a VERY good middle school group. They outplayed a lot of high school and college groups I have seen!! It was wonderful seeing your daughter and her work too Alex - teachers are the best!

Adair is darling and I'm so happy and touched that she's keeping the memories of the Holocaust alive lest anyone forget. The children in the marching band were terrific! While there certainly is controversy surrounding the "underground railroad quilts," it's still a lot of fun to to talk about those stories and find good reason to use the paper quilt blocks to create lovely pieces for Adair's classroom. Way to go! Ellen - San Pedro, CA

Thanks for sharing your daughter's work day at school. Loved the band as well, they were just great. I'm thinking that there is a quilter in Adair somewhere down the line, how can she not become one. It's in her genes, trust me. Heidi

As a child I had little appreciation for history, but today I can't get enough of it. Had Adair been my teacher, I think history might have been my favorite subject. Student performances always bring tears to my eyes and this one was no exception. I loved it! Happy Teacher's Day!

I love the drummers. I found myself wanting to clap for them when they were done, then I realized I was all by myself at home. What the heck. Yeh!!!!!!!!! Love the classroom tour. Don't fret about your fabric, mine has been snitched several times for school projects. Clara
