"Sedona Star"

Join us on a new 12-month quilting journey as we bring you a fabulous quilt designed especially for TQS by Sarah Vedeler. Sedona Star is a spectacular medallion quilt that features a beautiful center star surrounded by a charming array of appliqué elements.

Each month we will provide a photo and detailed directions for a portion of the quilt, as well as full-size patterns. Sedona Star finishes at approximately 88” x 88” inches. One version features a total of sixteen different print fabrics, including colorful shades of blue, pink, purple, yellow, red and gold; however, Sarah is providing another alternative color option and instructions for each month as well. Fabric kits for both colorways area available in limited quantities through the TQS Shoppe.

"Ruffled Roses"

Sue Garman has done it again!  Ruffled Roses is a quilt that will increase your skills, make you smile, and have your family in awe.  You may want to make this your first Show Quilt.  With appliqué, paper piecing, and traditional piecing mitered corners etc., you will become a better quilter while creating an heirloom treasure.  Also, we asked Sue to document how she decided on the quilting patterns.  Later in the year you will get a lesson by Sue on how to quilt the quilt.  Ask questions and get help in the forum, or help someone else on the journey.

Each month, you will download the pattern for a new part of this quilt online.  Sue assures us that this quilt looks complicated but is achievable by everyone.  Join the Fun.  What a wonderful way to start each month!
