Hands holding hands. Hands touching hands. Reach out a helping hand. The power of human touch is truly amazing. The story of these women making a new life because someone was willing to lend them a hand is inspiring to all of us.
THis gorgeous fabric inspired me to make a pair of three dimensional hands. Using the crazy quilt technique of starting with a five-sided piece of fabric, I created new fabric and then made it into "hands". As a base I used the red solid and the purple print. It was a fun project and the completed hands have been quite a conversation piece around our house. |
