| The Quilt Gallery on The Quilt Show has the potential to be one of the most important places for quilters to document their work. By posting your quilts online with us, others from around the world can do valuable research and find inspiration. So, to encourage our members to post their quilts, Ricky has agreed to make an original Rhapsody quilt valued between $10,000 - $15,000. Someone will win this quilt! The competition is an incentive campaign to encourage you to get your quilts posted. Posting digital images online is very easy and if you need help, the instructions are posted here.
The drawing for the quilt is not date or deadline based, but rather the drawing will take place when we have 36,000 quilts posted on the site. That may sound like a lot of quilts, but at the start of this incentive campaign our current 18,000 members have the potential of posting six quilts each for a total of 108,000 quilts! If you want to win the quilt, you’ll need to complete your personal profile and post six quilts. Start encouraging all your friends to do the same.
If that isn’t fun enough, the link at the top of this page will allow you to watch the progress of the quilt as Ricky is making it. It will be his own, original Rhapsody design and utilize his original hand-dyed fabrics and feature his award-winning quilting. Every stitch will be done by Ricky. The quilt will be signed with quilt stitching on the front and signed and dated in ink on the back. |
