New From Old Contest.......YAY!!!!! (Click to Read)

Hey Everbody! Just wanted to tell you all about the "New From Old" contest from The Alliance For American Quilts. www.allianceforamericanquilts.org . The quilts had to be made from a personal perspective of the theme, and it measures 16 X 16 inches.

The contest ended a couple of weeks ago and the grand prize was announced. There was a three way tie for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and my quilt was one of those three. I just couldn't believe it! There was a tie-breaker vote between the three quilts and I won 2nd. The prize is an EQ7 Software Package. I was so thrilled! This was my first time to enter a contest like this one, and definitely lots of fun. The Alliance For American Quilts is a great organization, and I'm so honored for my quilt to be donated with the rest of the entries. They will be auctioned later this year to benefit the Alliance. Just wanted to share.
