Hey Everybody! I'm so excited to be off to Boulder at 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning. I'll be there a couple of days and then in the tapings on Monday. Of course, I LOVE Colorado so much, and it'll be such fun to see another part of it. I'll be meeting up with several TQS friends...and that's one of the best parts for sure. We have dinner planned on Saturday night for Karen Miller (kakem), and her friend Sandy, Peggy Bass (sitnspin49), and her Sister Laura, Sharon Engel (sewengel), Robin Gold (RGold), and myself. I've met Peg and Sharon before, but not the others. What a fun fun night it will be. If any more of you will be in Boulder Saturday night, please let us know, and join us for dinner. My cell number is 901-921-1276. I've been busy with these sewing orders for several weeks and then I get sidetracked and tell myself, "Ok Dana, you've sewed on these for days, so now you deserve some quilting time".....and it works every time. I unthread that white thread off that machine so quick and thread it with King Tut, and I'm off to sewing on my quilt again. I really have to get a grip and get these done next week.
Accomplishment of the week: First set-in point on my new quilt...one down, 51 to go. This is the part I have dreaded most about this quilt. I cut twelve samples and practiced, trying different ways of holding it and such, and I finally discovered what works for me, so hopefully, I can repeat this many more times.
And now to share a little bit of Mr. Landon. I cannot, for one minute, believe that he's 15 months old....he brings such joy to so many lives. Here he is laughing with Pepaw:
And playing with his favorite toy:
And giving Mommy loves:
And, finally, trying to take a swim:
I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend, and I'll be checking in from Boulder and sharing about the tapings. Blessings to all! Dana |
