Well we survived Irene with no damage to our home. Lots of limbs and trees down everywhere and no power. Do you know how boring it is at night with no power? And I'm sorry, reading by lantern or flashlight is irritating. It could be on anytime from now until a week from now. Lets hope it isn't a week. Do you know you can use a sewing machine without power? LOL Wish I had a treadle now. Oh well, I shouldn't complain, I remember my Mom and sister didn't have power for two weeks after Katrina. Hope eveyone else in Irene's path faired as well.
