I have been sewing since I was 5 years old, but made mostly clothing until 2003. My delightful daughter in law helped me to move to quilting. I retired on 1 Jan 2012 to become a full-time fabric artist and am having a ball.

Hooray!  I just finished the quilting on my Perspectives quilt.  I still have to wash it, paint in the highlight/lowlights and bind it.  I am nervous about washing it after nearly ruining my Hoffman Challenge quilt, which I was able to save thank the Lord! (I blogged about that on my personal blog  along with a few other things, so check in and read a few blogs if you'd like)

So I have recently finished the Hoffman Challenge, finally finished an Oriental themed quilt I started for my son David year's ago for his queensized bed (my wonderful DIL quilted that on her longarm, but it took me a long time to get to the binding).  I'll post pictures of his quilt when he gets his space ready for the beauty pictures.

I thought I'd show it to you with all the marks.  I don't think this is a very good picture, though.  I'll post a picture of it on my gallery sometime after it's all finished.

And here's the back, making it easier to see the quilting.

Anyway, I have really been having fun, as you can see, though I think I need to take a day or so off from quilting for a bit.  SmileNow maybe I better go clean a little. Frown Hope you are having a great weekend!
