Hi everybody! I'm here to "send out the old" and "ring in the new"....but I must talk about the old a little bit. What a year! I've had so many wonderful experiences this past year....I wish I could write them all down in one place, but I don't think I could. Going to the retreat in La Veta was definitely the highlight of my personal enjoyment this year. It was so beautiful!
I met some wonderful ladies that week, and spending time with Ricky and Justin was such a treasure......the entire retreat was like nothing I've ever experienced before, and I will carry those memories with me for a lifetime. If you ever have a chance to go, you should not hesitate for one minute. Here's the link to read about them if you don't already know: http://www.rickytims.com/retreats.html I snapped this great picture of Ricky that week, and then the next one is Justin just being his wonderful self.

We've had a high school graduation, the starting of college, the announcement of a baby, and a wedding being planned.......it's a lot for one year, but it's our life........and I accept that with great anticipation and excitement in these next few months. I thank all of you for being a part of all this. We saw the baby yesterday for the first time. The due date is May 17th. It was such a thrill to see it moving so much and to see all those little parts. And no, it did not cooperate so we could tell what it is...maybe next time! Me and Gabe both feel like it's a boy for some reason. We've never had any boys around, but it will be great either way. The names they have chosen are Jessie Ray after my Father, and Callie Lynn or Sadie Kathrine.

I'm looking forward to the new BOM. I really had not looked at it closely until today, as far as studying to see what colors I might use, but I think these are the fabrics I have chosen so far........and then, I am known for changing my mind.smile:o)......It will be the most intricate and precise quilt I've ever made for sure....I'll probably be calling for help many times, and I'll just bet I know where I can find it. And actually, now that I see these fabrics pictured here, I don't like them so much. .....the power of choice!

I want to take this opportunity to thank each of you for sharing my life this past year. I realize, when I think about it, how special it is to me to be able to tell you things about my experiences, and then to be excited with you about your lives as well. I have been blessed to meet so many of you this year....at retreat, at the tapings, at Houston.....and it was a wonderful experience every time I met one of you. But I have also learned about the strength of friendship through the written word with those of you I have not met...and I cherish that so much. So I end this year with thankfulness for so many things, and at the top of that list is TQS for providing this wonderful place for us to share life. May each of you have a year filled with joy, prosperity, and lots of creativity. Hugs and Blessings to all, Dana
