Hey everybody! I sure have enjoyed all the blogs lately. They were a very bright spot in my days the past few weeks since I've been sick. I feel like I lost two weeks of my life with the FLU...never had it before and don't want it again....we'll suffice to say that I was "in bed"....I don't have to go into detail...I'm just real glad it's over. I had great plans for those two weeks, so I've been working extra hard since I'm feeling better. I got some exciting news a few days ago. My Rhapsody Quilt has been juried into the Paducah Show...This is my first time to enter anything, and just like Robin, I checked the mailbox for several days. I can't quite believe it, but I'm very excited! I know I won't be able to stop smiling the whole week at the show. I've been working out two new patterns for the Woman's Exchange (the shop I sew for). They have never offered tiny newborn outfits, so since I wanted to sew some things for Landon, I decided to show them to the shop as well. They loved both of them and told me I could make as many as I want....so I'll be starting a large order in the next week....lots of wonderful colors for Summer. The teal colored one is a Newborn and the green one is 3-6 months. I can't wait to see these on Landon.

Gabrielle and I have been working on Landon's Nursery for the past week. After the wedding, she and the baby will be living with us while Beau is gone to study Air Traffic Control in the Army for almost a year. Then, they will join him probably at Ft. Rucker in Alabama. We are so excited that we get to have the baby with us for a while before they leave. Our house has two bedrooms upstairs, so one is Gabe's and the other is the Nursery. We are painting and antiquing a book case and still have pictures and accessories to add, but these pictures give an idea of what we've done so far. We wanted to do white squares with circles on the chocolate brown wall, so we put up templates and taped off the squares and painted them white and then put the brown circle decals to match the bedding. We sure have had a lot of fun working on this together. Her first shower is this weekend in my hometown. And no, there's not a baby quilt YET.

Here's a little glimpse of Spring...my first tulip and my weeping cherry tree.
Have a great week everyone. Blessings to all! Dana
