Elena Morera (my partner) and I co-own gregory case photography. We specialize in quilt and textile photography and have over 50 clients from over 20 states that send their quilts and textiles to our studio to be featured in books, catalogs, juried shows, exhibits, patterns, and fabric designs. We have over 17 books that feature our photography.
For the last three years, we have photographed the exhibits and events for the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles (www.sjquiltmuseum.org). We also photograph artist/designer’s studios and assorted marketing booths at various quilt and textile trade shows. In addition, we are guest bloggers on Quilter’s Buzz (www.quiltersbuzz.com).
Gregory is “Photo Man” on The Quilt Show and has an on-going slide show (see top of this page in the purple navigation bar: "Slideshows") of some of the behind the scenes of the Show and the surrounding La Veta countryside.
We plan to write regularly on this blog about quilt and textile photography and related subjects. Through this blog, we will introduce you to people, books, magazines, websites, blogs, quilts, textiles, patterns, fabric, and designs that you might not be familiar with and we’ll include lots of tips, features, and extended tutorials on how to improve your own quilt and textile photography. Some day, when our time permits, we plan to update our own web site: http://www.gregorycase.com.
We look forward to your comments, suggestions, thoughts, and topics to discuss on this blog. And of course, the opinions and views expressed in this blog are ours alone and do not necessarily reflect the opinions and views of The Quilt Show management, sponsors, underwriters, advertisers, or its guests.

| | 2008 Road To California Quilt Show (Click to Read) | 01/05/2008 1,743 views 2 comments | | | View all My Blogs | 2 Comments | Submit a Comment | | For those fortunate enough to attend the 2008 Road to California Quilt Show, Elena Morera and I will be there photographing classes, speakers, guests, and yes, even trade booths, Thursday, January 17 – Sunday, January 20. The show is located in Southern California, at the Ontario Convention Center. We are working in partnership with Carolyn Reese (founder of Road to California). We also are collaborating with Gina Halladay (Quilter’s Buzz). We plan to photograph Cindy Needham, their Featured Artist, and a former TQS guest, and Mark Lipinski’s (Quilter's Home Magazine) talk on Friday night and TQS's own Ricky Tims' talk on Saturday night. Additionally, we plan to photograph the exhibit honoring “Thirty Years with Eleanor Burns and Quilt in a Day.” Last year we photographed this grand event and most of the marketing material that Carolyn used for print and web ads featured our photography! We are honored to work with Carolyn and her staff and, of course, Gina as well. We plan to write some blogs from the show and plan to feature (of course) photos. If you see us on the floor (we’re easy to spot--we have those camera vests that say "www.gregorycase.com" on the back) please stop by and say hi (or it's a new day!). In addition, if you are attending as a vendor and would like your trade booth photographed, let us know as well (forms will be in your packet when you enroll). As if you don't know, Road to California is a proud sponsor of The Quilt Show. As a reminder, two weeks later, in Northern California, Alex and Ricky will be showcasing their Super Quilt Seminar, January 24 – 26 at the Robert Livermore Community Center, in Livermore. So, we hope to see you at one or both of these wonderful events! Do drop us a line and let us know you're coming... we'll keep the lights on for you. | | | |
