Hey everybody! Another wonderful couple of days in Paducah! I spent most of Wednesday and Thursday at the main show in the convention center. The internet service in the hotel would not cooperate yeaterday, so I'll do the two days together.(I hope) We are so grateful to Ricky and Justin for welcoming us to meet each day at 1:00 in their booth. As you can see by these first two pictures, they are thrilled to have us.

The meeting was great fun on both days...actually it was so much fun that I forgot to take a picture of the whole group on Wednesday (Margo, don't be too upset, I'm sure we'll have one on Thursday) The first picture is of Cindy(ckbellneville) and her daughter Katie(froggyquilter). I met them near the beginning of TQS in the chat room and it was so good to finally meet them in person. Cindy has a beautiful Rhapsody quilt hanging in the show.
This picture is of some of the members that met on Wednesday: ckbellneville, froggyquilter, dlquilter, Wagno1, Betty, TrishB, and Justin
This picture is of the members that met on Thursday: RobinQuilts, margo, SandyTN, elsielf, maggieszafranski, dlquilter, qltcrzy, Wagno1, labsandsticks, kattz, marbles, and rickytims
The Babylock Sewing Machine Company sponsors an opportunity to sit down and actually make a quilt for charity at the show. They provide all the squares of fleece and sergers to make these throws for a local charity. The charity featured this year is The Merryman House which is a shelter for abused women and children. I had so much fun doing this today...it was a great opportunity to help someone and also to rest the tired feet.

To be continued with the story of meeting my new Japanese friends and also my goodies I found....whenever internet will allow...... Dana |
