I created "The Original Quilt Patis" (tm), temporary plastic foundation technique. Taught the technique for 10-12 years before it became a product in May 1996. I was on Simply Quilts #509. It started w/hexagons but now we make more shapes.

I can't believe how long I have been away from the blogs.  The jobs have taken their toll & I caught something.  Had to call of sick from JoAnn two nights... needless to say they were not happy with me.  All of the news stations, health departments, etc. are saying "If you are sick, stay home."  It seems to be another attitude if you try to call off sick.  My fever hit a high of 100.8 degrees but my normal temp is sub~normal.  I debated the issue of going to the ER but that would mean I'd have to get dressed (Thursday 3 AM) & drive myself.  I rolled over, prayed & took my temp 30 minutes later it was down almost a degree.  I figured if it went down again the next time then it seems to be past the worst.  I fell asleep until 9 or 10 AM & my temp was almost my normal.  I still have the cough but I feel 98% better than last night.

I went back to the temporary assignment at the bank today.  It was supposed to be my last day on the assignment but they extended it another month.  Thank God!  I really like that position.  By the end of November the merger should be complete.  At that time the hiring freeze may be lifted & the assignment could turn permanent... then I could tell JoAnn goodbye.

The people really do make a difference.  I thought I would like being around the fabric & creativity of a store like that but I was wrong.
