I got into doing quilting, by one thing progressing into another. It started with clothes making, then machine embroidery and digitising (this addiction is going for 10 years plus now) and then quilting. I enjoy combining embroidery with the quilting. The possibilities are endless!! (and it does not always end the way I planned!!)

Well, long time no see! (or write for that matter)....

I have not touched the lion quilt yet, cause I'm still not happy with some stuff, not popping just yet.  (Thanks for the feedback BTW.  It helps allot)  So, i have started another one, and doing it by hand, (inspired by Jinny Beyer).  I usually sit with my family while doing it.  It is almost the only time that we can sit together,  and it gives me something different to do from the every day machine quilting.  Mmm, quilting to relax from quilting....  that makes tons of sense........  I'm addicted!  I really dread not having a quilt on the machine, (the quilting world seems to be a bit quiet at the moment.... did you guys notice that too?)  Every quilt has its own personality.   Well, getting off topic now.   Here is a photo of what I am busy with at the moment, the hand work. The pattern is on the left.  I have been using EQ for the design, then I print the templates, and laminate them.  Tracing around them is much easier!

Away from quilting a bit....  My daughter loves to do stuff with paper, and made this small envelope. (dont know how she got that right)  She is going on a excursion on Thursday for scrap booking, (first introduction) so I recon she could get hooked....

Back at quilting...  It feels like I am sitting on a ant's nest!  I finally decided to get a Statler fitted to my Gammil.  Cant wait!!  It is on the ship on its way to us.  Should be here somewhere around the end of April.  Ive been keeping my ear flat on the ground to glean some more info on the patterns, where to find it, and how to digitize it too.  It is a little bit different to the embroidery machine.....  I had to re-arange my way of thinking there...

Till next time!
