I am a stay at home mother of three, aspiring fiction writer, mutlifaceted musician (vocalist and mallet percussion), and am absolutely in love with quilting. I have been quilting now for close to 8 years and am entirely self taught from books, videos, and my own crazy ideas :-) I am also into other craft/fiber arts such as crochet doll dresses, counted cross stitch, and fabric baskets/bowls.

Hello all, long time no see :-) I have been very busy - so busy that for a couple of months there I wasn't even checking in here (What was I thinking!!!!!) Anyway, the light is just starting to shine at the end of the tunnel, although it is just a pin point right now. I think I might actually have some free time sometime in July, lol.

Life continues to be crazy, and as a result I have had very little time to quilt. My oldest played basketball this year, my middle girl is VERY involved in her dance, and my youngest is starting to blossom with all the extra help he is getting now and is actually PLAYING t-ball this year. If you remember last year I had to stand on the feild with him to get him to play- this year he said "Mommy, you go sit with the other mommies while I go play. He is finally growing up :-) . Meanwhile I am running from practice to practice, sewing costumes, altering another communion dress, trying to stay organized. Its nuts!!! In there I am still fighting to find time to work on my quilts. The 2009 BOM is still a work in progress, but I AM making progress. It is done up through October - I am working on the flighing geese from November now- YEAH!! I am also printing out all the instructions for this years BOM's. Sarah wants to make a quilt with me, and I think the applique one would be right up her alley if I do it as fusable. We'll see how it goes. My oldest, Katie, is still making yo-yo's and is determined to have enough to make a twin size quilt for her bed. I think she is up to 200 finished so far. I love having two budding quilters here!

Well, time to get back to the grindstone. I have to alter Sarah's communion dress today seeing as 1st Communion is this Sunday. I also still have to try and put this disaster of a house back together. One of these days my dh will learn to clean up after himself, especially while I am out of town... I know, wishful thinking, lol. Niagara Falls was lovely, but sometimes I wonder if it was worth all the extra cleaning I have to do now.
