Join us for a tour of the famed Esprit Quilt Collection. The slideshow has been put together by our friends Julie Silber and Jean Demeter. Julie has been the curator of the Esprit Collection since 1982. It was while touring the collection in San Francisco that Alex started her love of all things Amish.

A Great Read and a Chance to Win
How many of us have ever been part of a book club and said "we have so many stories to tell, we should write a book." Well that's what 3 quilters from Ohio did and they are giving us a sneak peak into their fun new novel, plus a chance to win an autographed copy.

The Ultimate UFO: So Feel Better About Yours
Those UFO's can pile up and make you feel that you will never finish anything. (In Tuesday's newsletter we will give you ideas on how to finish.) As a Mother's Day gift to you, we give you permission to not feel guilty. Whenever you look at those unfinished projects just say, "Well at least it's not the Segrada Familia".
The pride of Barcelona has been under construction for over 125 years and it's first service is expected after the interior is finished in 2010. After that the 550 foot "Tower of Jesus" will follow.
The famed architect, Antoni Guadi designed the church with 18 towers. There are 12 for the apostles, 4 for the Gospels, one for the Virgin Mary and one for Christ. The construction has survived epidemics, labor strife, funding problems (all private funds), civil wars and political fights. The building construction began and the cornerstone were laid in 1882, when Chester A. Arthur was president of the United States and Queen Victoria ruled England.

A History of Esprit, or?

Or is it an intelligence test that we failed? Esprit celebrated it's 40 year anniversary in 2008 and created this fun, interactive historical E-Story. It is an interesting use of computer graphics and I will give you a hint: As in quilting, Red is very important.
