Why Quilts Matter -  Episode 5 - Gee's Bend: "The Most Famous Quilts in America?"
Beginning Friday, Febuary 17, TQS will post Episode 5 of Why Quilts Matter.  This episode traces the journey of the quilts of Gees Bend from the clotheslines of the South to the exhibition walls of the country´s greatest museums. It will also explore the aesthetic and social appeal of these quilts - and quilters - as well as the controversies they engendered, and analyze their unique place in quilt history.

Sunbonnet Sue Contest:  The Dog Days of Summer

Ricky is preparing a very fun article for the summer issue of The Quilt Life Magazine and he is issuing a fast turn around challenge to members of The Quilt Show!

You have two weeks to design and create a block that reflects the various activities Sunbonnet Sue might enjoy during those long, hot summer days!
