Remembering Crater Lake - This quilt uses non-traditional fabrics and 10 different threads to create perspective and dimension. All of the embroidery was done via machine using free motion. The front-most trees were embroidered on tulle and water-soluble stabilizer, then attached. The tree on the right took nearly 9 hours to embroider - all free motion. Aurifil Lana Wool thread and Superior's Razzle Dazzle gave this tree extra depth and texture.
