After reading Ricky Tims' Kool Kaleidoscope Quilts book, I immediately had to try one of my own. Really enjoyed his technique. |

Even though this is only an 8" traditional dresdin plate block, the centers are not so traditional. I used shisha mirrors and sewed by hand ribbon rings around each mirror as the center for every block. |

It started as doodles on the plane on my way home from the International Quilt Festival and that is how I was feeling, thus the title. My heart flowed into it! |

| February 29, 2012 | | | | pblair Presents: Life is Good Quilt #: 1013079 Added on 02/17/2009
Life is Good celebrates canines ability to chill out... something we humans seldom do. I follow the "Legally Blonde" film school of problem solving. When Life gets crazy... I get my nails done... so this lil' pup did too! Look closely at those nails. The main image is painted with inks, the background and foreground are collaged and fused printed fabrics. |

| February 28, 2012 | | | | Marla Presents: Life's twists and turns Quilt #: 1009903 Added on 05/06/2008
This quilt was begun in 2006 and sat on my sewing table for over a year when I got bogged down with some points that just would not meet correctly. I finally got it out again, determined to be completed. This Queen/King quilt ended up being a monster size at over 100 inches both sides. The only way I could quilt it was to start in the center and work my around and around in waves. Due to the size and weight, the waves are sometimes points thus the name. I discovered while completeing this quilt that I love to piece and now I need to learn to love the quilting process. I am so very pleased with the final look. |

| February 27, 2012 | | | | ardyt Presents: Life is an E Ticket Ride Quilt #: 1005392 Added on 07/03/2007
Made for a friend who had a rough year and said, "Life sure is an E ticket ride!" - - remembering the early years when Disneyland had ticket books and the scariest rides were the "E ticket" ones.
I used Heidi Stoll Webber and hand dyed fabrics. The quilt is pieced with the roller coaster appliqued on top. Old Disneyland E tickets were scanned and printed on some of the lighter fabrics. The clouds are Angelina. |

| February 26, 2012 | | | | dlquilter Presents: Pieces of Life Quilt #: 1003630 Added on 06/26/2007
When I first saw the Dear Jane quilt in 1997, I knew I had to make it. The Dear Jane list was a very important part of doing this project. My journal is 2 inches thick.....it's hard to say briefly what it meant to me. It touched my life with much sharing, great love, life long friends, *Hi April*, and confidence to try any block. The name "Pieces of Life" seemed to fit it perfectly. |

| February 25, 2012 | | | | SarahVedeler Presents: Life As A Labyrinth Quilt #: 1002975 Added on 05/02/2007
If you follow the (pink) path of this labyrinth, you will arrive in the center - there is only one way in! This quilt was quilted entirely using my Bernina embroidery module with quilting motifs designed by me, taking over 100 hoopings. |

| February 22, 2012 | | | | krwatts Presents: Path to Tranquiltiy Quilt #: 1013133 Added on 02/24/2009
My bee had a challenge with the theme "Ancient Symbols". I was intrigued with labyrinths, which have been found all over the world. Some are 4000 years old! I took the pathway from a mosaic floor from Roman times, and designed the rest of the quilt around it. I quilted a yin yang symbol in the center. |

This was made as a challenge quilt. The challenge fabric is the beige/rooster fabric. It was also the next to last challenge offered in "My" quilt shop "Quilters Palette" before it went out of business. Winning this challenge was bitter-sweet. |

Inspired by a small piece of fabric dyed by Ricky Tims which looked to me like there might be a garden path in it. The picture was designed around the background fabric. |

| February 17, 2012 | | | | amandajh Presents: "Changes Along the Path" Quilt #: 1005900 Added on 08/03/2007
This was begun as a lap quilt for my mother in law. The six blocks seemed too dark on their own, when I saw the landscape strip and the "Tuscan Wildflowers", I could "see" the rest of the quilt. It became a California King sized bedspread, which is shown here with the two matching pillow shams. |
