My Tweets BOM
Quilt #: 1023041   Added on 04/21/2014

I follow Erin Russek's Blog, she offered this free BOM several years ago I have finally finished it. This entire quilt makes me smile. I love using the bright fabrics against the black background fabric even though it was way out of my comfort zone.

One Thousand Diamonds
Quilt #: 1023051   Added on 04/25/2014

This is a modified Lone Star quilt with additional points. There are 1000 identically shaped and sized diamond patches each made of a different fabric making this a charm quilt. The fabrics were collected via a charm exchange within my local quilting group, The Lovells Loose Threads, in the township of Lovells, Michigan. I added some fabrics from my stash as well.

Quilt #: 1022908   Added on 02/20/2014

I saw a beautiful picture and got permission to reproduce it in fabric. This was done by creating my own pattern, then dyeing all of my fabrics (except the black). I then did raw edge applique, thread painting and quilting and added crystals for the stars.

Greenery
Quilt #: 1019099   Added on 04/05/2011

This quilt started with making the center Dresden Plate block as an experiment using a tutorial I found on the internet ( http://lurlineg.blogspot.com/2009/12/dresden-plate-tutorial.html ). Then the idea of using partial Dresden Plates to make the curve going round the center developed into this completed quilt. The straight line quilting in the Dresden Plates looks like a dahlia on the back of the quilt. The white with tiny green dots background was quilted with feathers. All this you can see in more detail here:
quiltsbyjoyce.wordpress.com/2010/07/22/greenery/
I had quite a stash of greens and a number of green scraps that went into the plates. The partial plates were sewn together into the curve and then appliqued to the background.
