Elegance in Cotton" top made by Judy Sommer. This is the companion quilt to the black and white wool wall hanging I made. The center medallion is the same. This quilt is 98" square. I'm currently finishing writing the pattern for this. It was a joy to custom quilt (handguided) on my Gammill Classic Plus. Kits will be available soon at Sisters in Quilting in Marlette for both the cotton and wool projects. |

I had a piece of fabric with an image of a Pharoh on it. I had another piece of fabric with cats on it. So I began by adding green and copper colored retangles of different sizes to these images using my design wall. All pieces were fused to a background, and the quilting was done with a copper-colored metallic thread. |

While poking around at our local Goodwill one day, I discovered 3 bags of scraps. Have not researched them, but most look like older fabrics. Washed and ironed them, added my own dark fabrics, and a quilt was born. |

When I saw Ricky's quilts I was bowled over and had to try it. It was difficult but rewarding. When I was working on it in my head I decided to make it Oriental. I searched for Oriental designs and incorporated them as applique and quilting. My family and friends all love it. |

The designs within Cornelian were inspired by Old tombstones and iron lacework at the Cornelian Bay Cemetery, a place of peace and history. The quilt includes redwork embroidery, applique and english paper pieced hexagons using the new iron on wash away hexie papers. The quilt used 20-25 skeins of embroidery thread, over 700 hexies and 7km of quilting thread. |

This quilt was made for my sister, who has created a 7 circuit labyrinth at her home in Ohio. She grows sunflowers in the labyrinth, and calls it the Sunflower Labyrinth. |

No wrist watches, these are architectural features and out of the ordinary. The first inspiration was the clock in the Musee d'Orsay, Paris. Other clocks were added to make art of museum pieces from around the world. All based on personal photos and free photos of others. |

When my husband went with me to the Dallas Quilt Show last March (his first time at a quilt show) he enjoyed Cynthia England's quilts, so we purchased several patterns. I purchased the fabric kits later and pieced this quilt over Thanksgiving weekend. |
