 | | Murfeman Presents: Heavenly Brightness Quilt #: 1020569 Added on 01/31/2012
I made this quilt for my daughter (in picture with me). A lot of blood and sweat went into this quilt and I loved every second of it. Boy did I learn a lot. Ignorance is bliss because I started this project without any concept of how challenging it would be. I sewed and quilted this quilt on my Bernina 830. |

This quilt, like so many crazy quilts, contains many family memories, including a Valentine that belonged to my grandmother, bits of embroidery done by my mother, and designs by all three of my children. |

 | | Scoopie Presents: Kindred Spirits Quilt #: 1020566 Added on 01/30/2012
I met Debbie through the TQS HST exchange, and we bonded immediately. Neither of us have a sister (or any siblings, for that matter) and we soon became kindred spirits. We are so alike in so many ways. I found this fabric, and after staying with her for Houston Festival 2011, I just had to make it into a quilt for her. It is heavily adorned with a variety of beads and gold thread. She IS my Kindred Spirit! |

 | | Scoopie Presents: The Geisha Quilt #: 1020565 Added on 01/30/2012
This was started in a class by Faye Anderson at Houston Festival one year, and completed in 2011. It is mostly thread painted and freemotion outlined. The background is actually placed on top of, and around, the outline. It is heavily trapuntoed, for a more realistic effect. |

After making Prarie Star, I had lots of fabric left over. I decided to play around and make test blocks of patterns I liked and try new techniques. In the end I put them all together with just a few mistakes! |

 | | LizzE Presents: "Boar"d Meeting Quilt #: 1020552 Added on 01/26/2012
This quilt is inspired by the tradtional whole cloth quilts of the South of France. Motifs and symbols provide the design parameters for the whole cloth quilts of Southern France. The central motif is a "sanglier" (wild boar) requested by the owners, with fleur de lis, acanthus leaves, ghekos, cigales, etc., scrolling their way around the quilt. |

 | | LizzE Presents: Baltimore Bouquets Quilt #: 1020551 Added on 01/26/2012
This quilt is completely hand made, with needle turn applique, 3-D applique, embroidery, handpiecing and hand quilting. Most of the work was completed between 2000 and 2001 at which point it was packed up and stored until last year, when I pulled it from its wrappings and finished the quilting and binding. |

I challenged myself to create this quilt with batik scraps. I had a limited amount of fabric and colors. This quilt was on my design wall for 6 months as I moved pieces around until I was happy with this layout. It was a lot of fun. Class 710 made sewing a breeze. Great technique for Y-seams! |

 | | Cavalierz Presents: First attempt at paper piecing Quilt #: 1020549 Added on 01/26/2012
This was my first attempt at foundation paper piecing. I struggles for an hour or two and then the light bulb came on. This is a very good pattern and an accurate representation of my breed. |
