 | | mossflower Presents: Oriental Fantasy Quilt #: 1022141 Added on 05/28/2013
When I saw Ricky's quilts I was bowled over and had to try it. It was difficult but rewarding. When I was working on it in my head I decided to make it Oriental. I searched for Oriental designs and incorporated them as applique and quilting. My family and friends all love it. |

Created from recycled clothes worn by their son, Adam, who died as a teenager, the Fulk family commissioned 2 matching queen sized quilts as memorial gifts. Fabric from blue jeans, boxers, baby clothes, a neck tie, a set of sheets, T-shirts, a hockey uniform, shirts, hats, coats were divided evenly between both quilts. |

Made as part of a class, completely from stash scraps of all types as a means to practice several piecing techniques. Also the first piece I ever tried free motion quilting without pattern markings. |

I designed this to help my friends who own Sisters in Quilting in Marlette. They had an overabundance of black and cream wool on the bolt. It will be made into kits shortly and will include my pattern. (once I write it!) |

 | | Eleanor Presents: Very First Quilt Quilt #: 1022130 Added on 05/25/2013
This is the first quilt I ever made. I estimate I was a very young teenager. It used to have those silver paper stars glued on the blue field but they are long gone. I have often thought of adding stitched stars but I have decided to leave it be for the present time. It measures approximately 4"x6". I find it interesting that I hid stitching on the bottom of the stripes and whipped stitched the top of the stripe. |

 | | jesshudson Presents: Suzie's Gift Quilt #: 1022122 Added on 05/23/2013
I first met Suzie at a quilt class with Christine Fries-Ureel years ago, where I purchased the fabric for this quilt top. The friendship was born in that class and bloomed over the years. I bought the hand-painted fabric from Christine in class, but just got around to making a quilt from it recently. I thought Suzie might like this quilt as a gift both to honor our friendship, our love of quilting and our first meeting. |

 | | Reetzbobeetz Presents: Brighten the Corner Where You Are! Quilt #: 1022115 Added on 05/23/2013
I was inspired to make this quilt after watching the show on TQS with Jacquie Gering. The words were inspired by a short film by Pam Holland about women quilting in Africa. I just used three fat quarters some plain white fabric for the front and a yellow fabric for the back. All left-over scraps were pieced into the back of the quilt too. |
