Feathered Star - Paper Pieced
This is the first time I've ever participated in any BOM. I thought that making this block would give me enough paper piecing practice to master the technique. Well, let's say that I'm very comfortable with it now--I no longer have to think and rethink adding each piece. This block was made with fabrics already in my stash, since it originally was just going to be a sample and I really had no intentions of making the entire quilt. However, now that I've invested more than 12 hours in making this block and am pleased with the result, I'm reconsidering. Hopefully, I have enough of the fabrics that I've used in this block to make the whole quilt and have it look cohesive or planned.
